The Crown attorney and defence lawyer representing a Barrie mother charged with murdering her newborn baby have not yet decided whether or not the case will go to trial.

Jody-Ann Lee, 34, is charged with second-degree murder after police found her newborn baby girl dead in the trunk of a car.

Yesterday, Lee did not appear in court, but her lawyer and the Crown held a judicial pretrial hearing in the judge's private chambers to discuss the issues.

They will be back in court May 2.
