MERRITT, B.C. — Days before three children were murdered the R.C.M.P.'s main suspect told a justice of the peace he was having trouble being separated from his family.

In transcripts of Allan Schoenborn's bail hearing last Thursday, he told the justice of the peace it was really hard to be without the ones he loved. He was granted bail shortly after being charged with two counts of uttering threats in an incident at his children's school. Days later his three children were found dead.

RCMP Assistant Commissioner Al Macintyre says Schoenborn has a distinctive face and with his picture everywhere he's hoping someone spots him.

But he said it is still possible Schoenborn could be hiding out in the nearby bush with his dog. Schoenborn did not have access to a vehicle and none have been reported stolen in the area.
